Memorial Day weekend is here! This can mean the start of bbq's, picnics, and all kinds of summer treats, like ice cream. If you're struggling with acne, it can also mean the fear of breaking out and feeling like you're missing out because you don't eat the standard fare.
Fear not, friend! I've got a delicious solution!
Let's talk about ice cream that does not exacerbate acne. You heard me right. You may already know that dairy can make acne way worse, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out.
You just have to know which ingredients to avoid and I've done the work for you.
Here is one of my favorite non-dairy ice cream chocolate caramel bars and they are so, so yum. You won't be able to tell the difference. Promise!
These bars do contain cane sugar, but don't be alarmed. As I've talked about before, it is not the cane sugar that causes the breakouts. It's only specific sugars, depending on what they're made from.
For example, high fructose corn syrup is so problematic because it's made from corn, which feeds acne causing pathogens inside the body.
So give yourself a treat, just because you're a beautiful soul, and have a safe and fun holiday weekend!
