Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan Mini S'mores

Looking for a 4th of July S'mores recipe that doesn't contain all the problematic acne foods? I got you, boo. This delicious recipe is gluten-free, dairy free, high fructose corn syrup free, and vegan.

Yep, you can make anything with the right ingredients and not have to worry about your skin breaking out.

Here's how to make these little gems.

  1. Melt some Enjoy Life chocolate chips on very low heat using a double boiler, or saucepan, stirring continuously until melted.

  2. Now, pour the melted chocolate into a candy bar mold, being careful not to get any water droplets in the mold or your chocolate may seize. *Pro tip- the mold I linked above makes a thicker chocolate bar, so you don't need to fill with chocolate all the way to the top, just enough to cover the squares or rectangles.

  3. Let the chocolate cool in the molds until firm; overnight works or put them in the fridge for faster cooling.

  4. Pop the chocolate bars out of the mold. Voila! You now have clean candy bars.

  5. Now, put together your s'mores stack using these gluten free, vegan, graham crackers.

  6. Cut one of these yummy vegan marshmallows in half, just because the graham crackers used in this recipe are smaller.

  7. Lightly roast your marshmallow. You can even roast these indoors, carefully, over a stovetop... just don't let the marshmallow drop or you'll have a huge mess!

  8. Lastly, smush your marshmallow on top of your homemade chocolate bar, add the top graham cracker, and enjoy your treat without worrying about your skin!

Wherever you are, my offer to you is to think about what freedom really means this holiday weekend. It's something that's been on my heart a lot lately.
